  • Shares of Salesforce plummeted 20% Thursday morning, marking the stock's worst day in nearly 20 years. The significant drop followed Salesforce's fiscal first-quarter results, which missed Wall Street's revenue estimates for the first time since 2006, and lighter-than-expected guidance. The cloud software company reported a revenue increase of 11% to $9.13 billion, slightly below the $9.17 billion anticipated by analysts. Read more

  • Amazon has received approval from the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to fly its delivery drones longer distances, enabling the expansion of its Prime Air service. This approval allows Amazon to broaden its drone delivery operations beyond maintaining a visual line of sight, thanks to its Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) technology developed to detect and avoid obstacles.   • A group of hackers, known as ShinyHunters, claim to have stolen the personal details of 560 million Ticketmaster customers. The stolen data reportedly includes names, addresses, phone numbers, and partial credit card details. The hackers are demanding a $500,000 ransom to prevent the data from being sold. The Australian government, in collaboration with the FBI, is working with Ticketmaster to address the breach. Read more

  • Netflix has announced plans to release an animated series based on Minecraft, celebrating the game's 15th anniversary. The announcement came during the game's anniversary celebration, accompanied by a short teaser trailer. Read more

  • According to a new report from OpenAI, influence operations based in Russia, China, Iran, and Israel are increasingly using artificial intelligence to manipulate public opinion. These operations have utilized OpenAI's tools, including ChatGPT, to generate social media comments in multiple languages, create fake account names and bios, produce cartoons and images, and debug code. Although these AI tools have helped these operations produce more content and create the illusion of engagement, OpenAI noted that these efforts have not gained significant traction with real people. In some instances, authentic engagement with their posts consisted mainly of users calling out the content as fake. Read more
