  • OpenAI has introduced GPT-4o, an upgraded version of ChatGPT that enhances its conversational abilities, memory, and real-time translation capabilities. This update allows ChatGPT to engage in spoken conversations, interpret visual inputs like screenshots, and adapt its responses based on user interactions and emotions. Read more

  • Adam Selipsky, CEO of Amazon Web Services (AWS), to step down next month after leading the cloud computing unit since 2021. Matt Garman, currently VP of sales, marketing, and global services at AWS, will succeed Selipsky as CEO starting June 3. Read more

  • Waymo's autonomous vehicle software is currently under investigation by federal regulators following 22 reported incidents of robotaxis crashing or potentially violating traffic safety laws. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) is specifically looking into the software's ability to avoid collisions with stationary objects and how it responds to traffic safety control devices like cones.   • Meta is making some big changes, including shutting down Workplace, their enterprise communication platform. They'll be officially announcing this closure soon, with a gradual shutdown process starting in September 2025 and ending in May 2026. The company is recommending Workvivo, owned by Zoom, as an alternative for migration. This move marks the end of Workplace's ten-year run, originally built to diversify Meta's revenue streams but faced tough competition from Slack and Microsoft Teams. Read more
